Grilled pork tenderloin satay

on 2 Feb, 2016

  • 1 pork tenderloin
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 red pepper
  • ginger root
  • 1 dl soy sauce
  • honey

Kitchen equipment needed

  • Cutting board & chef’s knife
  • Zip lock bag
  • Grill pan
  • Wooden skewers

Preparation — 10 minutes + waiting time

Finely cut the red pepper and garlic cloves and grate the ginger root. Combine soy sauce, red pepper, garlic, grated ginger and bring to taste using honey. Cut the pork tenderloin in medium-sized pieces. Mix the marinade with the pork pieces and place them in a zip lock bag. Marinate the pork pieces for at least 4 hours. Soak the wooden skewers in water for a few hours. This will prevent them from burning when you place them on the grill later on. We use this soaking trick also for any kind of skewer for the barbecue.

Grilling the pork tenderloin — 10 minutes

DRAIN the pork tenderloin and pierce the pieces on wooden skewers. HEAT the gill pan and grill the skewers for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side.
